6 Days Tanzania Safari

Day 1:

Arrive in Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Here, you will relax after your journey and receive a full safari briefing from your guide.

Overnight at The Maridadi Hotel

Hotel check-in time: 12:00 PM

Day 2:

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel at 07:00 AM and drive to Tarangire National Park. Famous for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, Tarangire offers great opportunities for wildlife viewing. After the game drive, you will head to your lodge in Karatu for a relaxing evening.

Overnight: Marera Valley Lodge

Distance: 140 km

Travel time: Approx. 2 hours

Day 3:

Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart towards Serengeti National Park, driving through the lush farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you reach the Serengeti plains, the scenery opens up into a vast golden savannah. Arrive at the Seronera region in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive where you may spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards hunting across the plains.

Day 4:

Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring Serengeti’s endless plains. Follow the Great Wildebeest Migration (depending on season) or track predators such as cheetahs, leopards, and lions. You can choose to do a morning and afternoon game drive or a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park.

Day 5:

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive — the best time to see predators in action. After breakfast, enjoy another safari session in central Serengeti, famous for large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and impalas. Later in the day, enjoy a picnic lunch before driving towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in time for a relaxed evening at your lodge.

Day 6:

Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

Descend early into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable safari experience. Spot the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo — alongside hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, and more than 500 bird species. After an extensive crater tour and a picnic lunch, ascend and drive back to Karatu for a relaxed evening.

Day 7:

Lake Manyara National Park – Moshi/Airport

After breakfast, drive to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions, pink flamingos, and stunning landscapes. Explore its diverse ecosystems: groundwater forests, open plains, and lake shores teeming with wildlife. After the game drive, transfer back to Moshi or Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure.
