These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between you (the Client) and Sightseeing Safaris (the Company). By booking a tour with us, you automatically agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making your reservation.
Sightseeing Safaris is a Tanzania-based tour operator specializing in wildlife safaris, Mount Kilimanjaro treks, and Zanzibar holidays. All tours and adventures are operated by Sightseeing Safaris, a company registered and incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania. We hold all necessary licenses and permits to organize and run safari and climbing expeditions in Tanzania.
The booking process begins with your inquiry via email, phone, or our website. A personal travel consultant will be assigned to handle all communications and arrangements. Once all details are agreed, an invoice will be issued.
Your adventure is confirmed once a deposit payment reaches our account. Full payment must be made at least 14 days before the scheduled start date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. All travel packages must be fully prepaid.
All transaction-related charges are your responsibility. A 3.5% surcharge applies to all credit card payments. If payments are incomplete, the difference will be charged upon your arrival in Tanzania.
Once your booking is confirmed, the price will not change except in the unlikely event that the Government of Tanzania increases park fees, taxes, or other tourism-related charges. In such a case, you will be notified immediately and offered the option to cancel with a refund per our cancellation policy or accept the price adjustment.
For safety reasons, we accept participants aged 12 to 70 years for Mount Kilimanjaro treks. High-altitude trekking involves significant physiological stress, and these restrictions are in place solely for your safety. We reserve the right to decline or cancel participation if age requirements are not met.
No age restrictions apply to safaris, wildlife tours, or day trips. Participants of any age are welcome, provided that minors are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
You must be 18 or older to book a tour. Bookings for minors must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf. Minors must be accompanied and supervised at all times.
Changes made free of charge if they do not incur extra costs. Any additional costs must be covered by you. If you discontinue the tour after it starts, no refund will be provided for unused services.
Occasionally, situations such as weather may require itinerary changes. We will inform you promptly and offer suitable alternatives.
We are not liable for delays, disruptions, or losses outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, flight delays, political unrest, or extreme weather.
If you need to change your travel dates, you must inform us at least 60 days before the original start date. New dates must fall within one year of the original travel dates. Any extra costs incurred will be your responsibility.
Cancellation fees are deducted from your deposit as follows:
We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.
You are responsible for ensuring your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your entry date and has sufficient blank pages. A visa for Tanzania is required and can be obtained online through the Tanzania Immigration Department website. We provide guidance but recommend contacting the Embassy of Tanzania for the latest requirements.
Our packages include accommodation as described. On Kilimanjaro treks, tented accommodation is on a sharing basis (two per tent). Single supplements are available on request. If a listed hotel is fully booked, we will suggest a suitable alternative.
It is your responsibility to determine if you are physically fit for your chosen adventure. We may require you to complete a medical form. If you have a pre-existing condition that could affect your participation, we may ask for a signed medical clearance from a licensed practitioner. Failure to provide this may result in cancellation with applicable fees.
If you have special dietary requirements, inform us at least 30 days before arrival. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs.
Travel insurance is mandatory for all our trips. Your insurance must cover emergency medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation, and cancellation. For Kilimanjaro climbers, the policy must cover high-altitude trekking up to 6,000 meters and helicopter evacuation.
All safety instructions from our guides must be followed. The lead guide's decisions on expedition arrangements, route, and participant safety are final. If in the guide's opinion your condition poses a risk, they may require you to descend.
You acknowledge that adventure travel involves inherent risks, including wildlife encounters and high-altitude trekking. You assume full responsibility for these risks and release us from claims arising from such inherent dangers.
Photos and videos may be taken during our tours. By participating, you grant us and our partners permission to use these images for marketing and promotional purposes without compensation. Please inform us if you do not wish to be photographed.
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of your tour, please contact your tour manager immediately. We will respond within 48 hours with a solution. For unresolved issues, our senior team will address your concerns promptly.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with Tanzanian law.
