Depart Arusha in the morning for Tarangire National Park. Famous for its massive elephant populations and giant baobab trees, the park offers big game viewing along the Tarangire River. Observe elephants, giraffes, zebras, and stalking lions during your game drive. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before driving to Karatu for dinner and rest.
After breakfast, drive through the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Central Serengeti National Park. Pass through vast grasslands as you enter the Seronera River Valley. Spend the afternoon tracking big cats and herbivores across the savannah before checking into your bush camp.
Dedicating a full day to the Central Serengeti allows you to explore river valleys, rocky kopjes, and open plains. Track resident prides of lions, leopards resting in acacia branches, cheetahs, hippos in pools, and seasonal wildebeest migration herds.
Depart the Serengeti after breakfast and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a half-day game drive. Spot lions, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, flamingos at Lake Magadi, and black rhinos. Enjoy a lakeside picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending the rim and transferring to Karatu.
Travel early morning to Lake Eyasi for a cultural day.
